1 1/2 cup  fresh chopped onion
3 each  fresh tomatoes
6 each  medium garlic cloves
0 1/4 cup  balsamic vinegar
0 1/4 cup  fresh lime juice
0 1/4 cup  cold water
1 tbsp  vegetable oil
1 tsp  oregano leaves
1 tsp  black pepper
0 1/4 tsp  salt
0.3333 cup  chipotle peppers in adobo sauce
  1. Preheat broiler.
  2. Arrange onion, tomatoes, and garlic on a foil lined baking sheet. Broil for 20 minutes or until skin is black, mix frequently. Squeeze pulp out of garlic cloves and throw away skin.
  3. Using a food processor or blender, puree onions, tomatoes, garlic, vinegar, lime juice, water, oil, oregano, pepper, salt, and chiles until smooth. Serve warm or at room temperature.
