1 1/2 lb  fresh plum tomatoes
1 tsp  kosher salt
Directions
  1. Season both sides of tomatoes with salt.
  2. Lay tomato halves, skin side up on paper towels and let drain for 1 hour.
  3. Preheat oven to 300 degrees F.
  4. Place tomatoes, skin side down on a baking sheet and bake 3 1/2 to 4 hours; edges will begin to curl and they will feel dry.
