2 lb  round eye roast, lean
0 1/2 tsp  onion powder
0 1/2 tsp  garlic powder
0 3/4 tsp  salt
0 1/2 tsp  black pepper
1 tbsp  cornstarch
1 pinch  paprika
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. Season roast with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon salt. Place on rack in baking pan,
  3. Bake 1-1/4 hours or until internal temperature reaches 150°F.
  4. Remove from oven and transfer to cutting board. Allow to cool for 10 minutes.
  5. Pour juices from cutting board and baking pan into pyrex measuring cup.
  6. Add water to measuring cup to make one cup total of liquid. Pour into saucepan.
  7. Add cornstarch and 1/4 teaspoon salt. Whisk until cornstarch dissolves completely.
  8. Bring mixture to boil over high heat. Reduce heat to low, stir frequently until thick.
  9. Slice roast and serve with gravy.
