  1. In pot large enough to hold clams, heat oil over medium heat.
  2. Discard any clams that are already open.
  3. Add onions, green pepper, celery, and garlic. Cook 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  4. Add wine, tomatoes, and clams. Stir. Raise heat to medium-high. Cover pot.
  5. Cook 2-3 minutes, or just until all clams have opened.
  6. Remove from heat immediately. Discard any unopened clams. Serve.
