Ingredients

2 each  medium red bell peppers
2 each  red onion
1 tbsp  olive oil
1 tsp  butter
0 1/4 cup  red wine
1 pinch  salt
1 pinch  black pepper
1 pinch  dried basil
Directions
  1. In small saucepan, over medium heat, combine oil, butter, red peppers, and onion. Sauté 2 minutes.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until onions and peppers soften.
  3. Add red wine, stir, and cook until wine evaporates, approximately 30 minutes.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and basil.
