2 tbsp  maple syrup
1 tsp  cornstarch
0 1/2 tsp  ground cinnamon
0 1/4 tsp  ground allspice
0 1/4 cup  cold water
1 lb  medium apples
1 tbsp  Margarine, 80% fat
0 1/2 tsp  vanilla extract
12 oz  chicken and apple sausages
1 each  cooking spray
  1. Mix the syrup, cornstarch, cinnamon, and allspice.
  2. Bring water to a boil in a saucepan. Add in the apples and continue to boil. Decrease heat, cover, and simmer for 3 minutes.
  3. Mix in the syrup and continue to boil for 20 seconds or until slightly thickened. Take off of heat and mix in the margarine and vanilla. Cover and let sit for 5 minutes.
  4. Heat a medium skillet and coat with cooking spray. Cook the sausage for 5 minutes or until browned. Serve with the apples.
