1 tbsp  olive oil
3 each  medium garlic cloves
1 each  medium onions
15 oz  tomato puree
6 oz  tomato paste
2 tbsp  red wine
2 tsp  hot red pepper flakes
2 tsp  capers
2 tbsp  fresh basil
1 1/2 lb  raw medium shrimp
  1. In large skillet, over medium, heat oil, add garlic and onion. Cook 5 minutes. Stir in tomato puree and paste, bring to boil.
  2. Add red wine, pepper, and capers. Reduce heat and simmer 15 minutes.
  3. Arrange shrimp in sauce, cook over low heat 4 - 5 minutes, until shrimp is lightly pink.
