1 tsp  peanut oil
1 1/2 tsp  minced garlic
1 lb  fresh asparagus
1/4 cup  low sodium chicken broth
1 tbsp  light soy sauce
1 tbsp  rice vinegar
1 1/2 tsp  oyster sauce
1/2 tsp  tabasco sauce
1/2 tsp  sesame oil
2 1/4 tsp  cornstarch
4 1/2 tsp  cold water
0 1/4 cup  chopped scallions
  1. In a small bowl, whisk together broth, soy sauce, vinegar, oyster, Tabasco, and sesame oil. Set aside.
  2. Wash asparagus, remove tough ends. Cut into 2" pieces.
  3. Heat peanut oil in wok over medium high.
  4. Add garlic. Cook for 20 seconds.
  5. Add asparagus. Sauté for 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
  6. Pour sauce over asparagus. Cover wok and simmer for 1 minute.
  7. Dissolve cornstarch in water. Add to wok.
  8. Cook until the sauce is thick, about 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  9. Garnish with scallions. Serve.
