1 tbsp  butter
3 tbsp  olive oil
4 each  medium garlic cloves
1 lb  fresh green beans
2 tbsp  low sodium chicken broth
1 pinch  salt
1 pinch  black pepper
0 1/4 cup  grated Parmesan cheese
0 1/4 cup  slivered almonds
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F. Spread almonds on sheet of foil. Toast almonds 2-4 minutes until golden brown.
  2. In large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Lower to medium-low and add garlic. Cook 1 minute, stirring frequently.
  3. Add chicken broth, green beans, salt, and pepper. Stir to coat. Cover and cook until beans are tender-crisp, about 8 minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and toasted almonds.
