1 tbsp  butter
0 1/4 cup  slivered almonds
3 tbsp  olive oil
8 each  medium garlic cloves
1 lb  fresh green beans
1 pinch  salt and pepper
0 1/4 cup  grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
  1. In large skillet over medium heat, melt butter with olive oil. Lower to medium-low and add garlic. Cook until lightly browned, stirring frequently. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  2. Stir in green beans and season with salt and pepper (if using). Cook until beans are tender-crisp, about 8 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and toasted almonds.
