  1. Place chicken in a 3 1/2 or 4 quart slow cooker. Sprinkle with pepper.
  2. In a small bowl combine Alfredo sauce, water, and basil. Pour over chicken in cooker. Top with frozen vegetables.
  3. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 5 to 6 hours or on high heat setting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
  4. With a slotted spoon, remove chicken and vegetables to a serving platter.
  5. Add cream cheese to sauce in slow cooker, stir until smooth.
  6. Serve sauce over chicken and vegetables. Serve with hot cooked pasta (optional).
