1 tbsp  fresh chopped onion
2 tsp  Butter, unsalted
1 tbsp  whole wheat flour
0 1/2 tsp  celery salt
2 cup  whole milk
1 cup  low sodium chicken broth
6 1/2 oz  minced canned clams
1 tbsp  chopped parsley
1 pinch  salt and pepper
  1. Melt butter in a medium pan and sauté onion for 1 minute.
  2. Add in flour and celery salt, cook for another minute.
  3. Stir in milk and broth and bring to a boil. Continue boiling for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Add in clams and liquid, cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste (optional), and stir in parsley.
