1 tbsp  fresh chopped onion
2 tsp  unsalted butter
1 tbsp  white all purpose flour
0 1/2 tsp  celery seeds
2 cup  whole milk
1 cup  low sodium chicken broth
6 1/2 oz  minced canned clams
1 tbsp  chopped parsley
1/2 tsp  salt
.125 tsp  black pepper
  1. In medium saucepan, melt butter, add onion, and sauté onion 1 minute.
  2. Add flour and celery seeds, cook 30 seconds to 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  3. Add milk and broth. Bring to boil. Continue boiling for 1 minute, stirring constantly.
  4. Add clams and liquid, cook over medium 2-3 minutes until soup thickens, stirring often.
  5. Season with salt and pepper, and add parsley.
