5 oz  apple juice
2 tsp  cornstarch
2 tbsp  brown sugar
0 1/4 tsp  ground cinnamon
1 pinch  salt
4 each  medium apples
Directions
  1. Mix 1 tablespoon apple juice and the cornstarch in a small bowl, stirring well. Set aside.
  2. Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a 2-quart pot, stirring well. Add the remaining apple juice and stir well.
  3. Add the apples and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Reduce the heat to medium-low and cover. Let simmer, stirring occasionally, for 5 minutes until the apples are tender.
  4. Stir the cornstarch mixture. Add it to the pot and cook, stirring, for 1-2 minutes until thickened and bubbly.
