8 each  boneless skinless chicken breasts
2 tsp  dried basil
0 1/4 tsp  salt
0 1/4 tsp  black pepper
0 1/2 cup  low sodium chicken broth
0 1/2 cup  fat free half and half
4 tsp  cornstarch
4 oz  low fat cream cheese
0 1/2 cup  Cheese, parmesan, fresh, shredded
  1. Place chicken in a 5 to 6 quart slow cooker. Sprinkle with basil, salt, and pepper. Add chicken broth.
  2. Cover and cook on low heat setting for 5 to 6 hours or on high heat setting for 2 1/2 to 3 hours.
  3. Remove chicken to a serving platter, reserving cooking liquid. Cover chicken with foil to keep warm.
  4. In a small saucepan combine the half and half and cornstarch.
  5. Stir in cooking liquid. Cook and stir over medium heat until thickened and bubbly.
  6. Stir in cream cheese and Parmesan cheese. Cook and stir just until the cheese melts.
  7. Spoon the sauce over the chicken. Serve hot.
