1 cup  semi sweet chocolate chips
1 tbsp  Shortening, vegetable
36 each  dried apricots
1 tbsp  sugar
  1. Line jelly roll pan, 15 1/2 x 10 1/2 x 1 inch, with waxed paper. Heat chocolate chips and shortening in 1-quart heavy saucepan over low heat, stirring often, until smooth, remove from heat.
  2. Dip any of the assorted dippers 3/4 of the way into chocolate. Sprinkle with colored sugar, if desired. Place on waxed paper in pan.
  3. Refrigerate uncovered about 30 minutes or until chocolate is firm.
