16 oz  strip steak, lean
0 1/4 cup  fresh lime juice
2 each  medium garlic cloves
0 1/2 tbsp  chili powder
0 1/2 tsp  black pepper
0 1/2 tsp  ground cumin
2 tsp  olive oil
4 each  scallions
Directions
  1. Trim off fat from the steaks. Brush with lime juice and rub in garlic, ground chile, ground pepper, and ground cumin. Let stand at room temperature for 30 minutes.
  2. Light a grill or preheat the broiler. Brush both sides of the steak with olive oil.
  3. Grill to desired doneness, about 4 to 5 minutes per side for medium-rare. While the steaks are grilling, also grill the scallions, turning often, until scallions are wilted and nicely browned.
  4. To serve, slice the steaks into thin slices against the grain. Arrange slices on 4 heated dinner plates and top each portion with a grilled scallion.
