2 tsp  olive oil
1 cup  fresh mushroom slices
0 1/2 cup  fresh chopped onion
0.6667 cup  orzo pasta
14 floz  low fat unsalted chicken broth
1 tsp  dried marjoram
0.125 tsp  black pepper
2 cup  fresh broccoli florets
0 1/2 cup  shredded carrots
  1. Heat olive oil over medium-high heat in a large saucepan, then add mushrooms and onion and cook for 5 to 7 minutes or until onion is tender, stirring occasionally.
  2. Stir in orzo, cook and stir 2 minutes more or until orzo is lightly browned.
  3. Carefully stir in broth, marjoram, and pepper, and bring to a boil; reduce heat.
  4. Cover and simmer for 12 minutes, then stir in broccoli and carrot; return to boiling.
  5. Reduce heat; simmer, covered, for 3 minutes or until orzo is just tender.
  6. Remove from heat, and let stand, covered, for 5 minutes.
