0 1/2 cup  cooked hominy
0 1/2 cup  low fat buttermilk
1 pinch  chili powder
1 pinch  ground ginger
3 each  peppermint, fresh, leaves
1 pinch  salt and pepper
4 each  ice cubes
  1. Puree all ingredients, including shaved ice, in a blender for about 1 minute, creating a fine, frothy liquid. Pour over ice in a tall glass and serve immediately.
