Servings
Ingredients

1 cup  fresh strawberries
1 tbsp  confectioners sugar
0 1/2 each  cantaloupe
Directions
  1. Begin by preheating broiler on high. Hull the strawberries and cut them in half. Next, arrange the fruit in a single layer, cut side up, on a baking sheet or in an ovenproof dish and dust with 1 tablespoon of powdered sugar.
  2. Broil the strawberries for 4-5 minutes, or until the sugar starts too bubble and turn golden. Meanwhile, scoop out the seeds from the half melon with a spoon and then remove the skin using a sharp knife.
  3. Cut the melon flesh into wedges; arrange them attractively on a serving plate and place the lightly caramelized strawberries on top. Dust with the extra sugar and serve immediately.
