6 each  medium limes
0 1/2 cup  sugar
2 1/2 cup  cold water
  1. Roll limes on cutting board using pressure from your hand.
  2. Cut limes in half. Remove seeds. Juice limes into non-corrosive metal or glass bowl. Place lime rinds in bowl with juice.
  3. In small saucepan, place water and sugar. Bring to boil, stirring to dissolve sugar. Pour over limes.
  4. Cover and steep 5-7 minutes.
  5. Strain warm liquid into 4 cup glass measuring cup. Add ice cubes to bring volume up to 4 cups. Stir to dissolve ice. Add ice to glasses and pour 4 oz. of limeade over ice. Serve.
