0 1/4 tsp  kosher salt
0 1/4 tsp  black pepper
1 lb  strip steak, lean
1 tsp  olive oil
0 1/4 cup  shallots, chopped
2 each  medium garlic cloves
0.3333 cup  balsamic vinegar
0.3333 cup  fat free unsalted beef broth
2 tbsp  dijon mustard
2 tbsp  capers
1 each  parsley sprigs
  1. Preheat grill to medium high.
  2. Season steak with salt and pepper.
  3. Cook steak, uncovered 5 minutes per side or until desired degree of doneness. Let rest 5 minutes, then slice thinly.
  4. In skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high. Add shallots and garlic. Sauté 2 minutes, until lightly browned.
  5. Add balsamic vinegar, beef broth, mustard, and capers. Simmer 5 minutes, until slightly thickened.
  6. Spoon caper sauce over steaks. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
