1 lb  fresh cabbage leaves
0 1/4 cup  cold water
0 1/2 tsp  salt
1 tbsp  unsalted butter
1 pinch  black pepper
  1. Trim and wash cabbage. Slice into 1/8" wide slices.
  2. In large saucepan, add water and salt and bring to boil. Mix in cabbage and cover tightly.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer 12-15 minutes until tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Drain cabbage. Transfer to serving bowl. Add butter and pepper. Toss lightly and serve hot.
