2 tbsp  vegetable oil
0 3/4 cup  fresh chopped celery
0 1/2 cup  fresh chopped onion
2 cup  fat free reduced sodium chicken broth
0 3/4 tsp  ground sage
0 1/2 pinch  black pepper
12 piece  Bread, white, sandwich
2 each  egg whites
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F.
  2. Pour oil in the bottom of a saucepan and add celery and onions. Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  3. Remove from heat and mix in the broth and seasonings.
  4. Cut bread into cubes and place in a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add egg whites to lukewarm vegetables and broth, mix well. Pour over bread cubes and toss.
  6. Spread evenly in an 8-inch cake pan greased with margarine.
  7. Bake for 45 minutes.
  8. Cut into 12 equal servings, allowing one square per serving.
