1 tbsp  vegetable oil
0 3/4 cup  fresh chopped onion
0 1/2 cup  chopped green bell peppers
0 1/2 cup  fresh chopped celery
0 1/2 cup  no-salt tomato sauce
0 1/4 cup  cold water
2 tsp  cornstarch
0.125 tsp  ground cayenne (red pepper)
0 1/4 tsp  salt
8 oz  cooked shrimp
0 1/4 cup  fresh chopped green onion
  1. Preheat 1/2-quart saucepan over medium heat for 1 minute.
  2. Swirl oil in the bottom of the pan and add the onions, green peppers, and celery. Cook over medium heat stirring frequently.
  3. Combine the tomato sauce, water, cornstarch, cayenne pepper, and salt in a separate bowl and stir until smooth.
  4. Add tomato sauce to vegetables. Cook and stir until sauce is clear.
  5. Add shrimp and heat to serving temperature.
  6. Stir in chopped onion tops and serve.
