  1. In medium saucepan, over low heat, add mushrooms, celery, and garlic. Stir in sherry or wine. Cover and cook 30 - 40 minutes, or until vegetables are tender.
  2. Move vegetables to food processor or blender, add 1-1/2 cups chicken stock, puree until smooth.
  3. Return to pan and add remaining stock, worcestershire sauce, and nutmeg.
  4. Bring to boil, season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. Ladle into warmed soup bowls.
