1 1/2 cup  fat free milk
0 1/4 cup  sugar
1 tbsp  Cornstarch
1 tbsp  cold water
1 each  raw egg yolks
1 tbsp  vanilla extract
  1. In a medium saucepan over medium heat scald the milk and sugar. Use a measuring cup, and dissolve the cornstarch in the water, and add to the hot milk, stirring constantly.
  2. Using a small bowl, pour some of the hot milk mixture into the egg yolk, stir, and transfer back to the saucepan.
  3. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, or until mixture thickens slightly and comes to a boil. Remove from heat, and add vanilla. Let cool and refrigerate.
