3 1/2 cup  Flour, bread, unenriched
0 3/4 tsp  salt
2 tbsp  sugar
4 tsp  anise seed
1 each  package baker's yeast
1 cup  cold water
1 tbsp  olive oil
1 tbsp  brandy
0 1/2 tsp  vanilla extract
1 each  cooking spray
1 tsp  cold water
1 each  egg whites
2 tbsp  Sugar, turbinado
Directions
  1. Place the flour, salt, sugar, anise seeds, and yeast into a food processor and pulse 6 times or until blended.
  2. Add the warm water, olive oil, brandy, and vanilla while the processor is spinning and continue processing until dough forms a ball.
  3. Knead dough on a floured surface 5 times.
  4. Coat a large bowl with cooking spray and add the dough. Cover and let rise for 40 minutes in a warm place.
  5. Roll dough out into a 24 x 7-inch rectangle and cut into 24 sticks.
  6. Roll out each stick to 15 inches.
  7. Coat a baking sheet with cooking spray and place the sticks on the sheet.
  8. Let rise again for 15 minutes, covered, in a warm place.
  9. Mix together the egg white and water and brush over breadsticks then sprinkle on the turbinado sugar.
  10. Bake breadsticks for 13 minutes at 400 degrees F.
