Enter a food:| Anytime Eggnog |
| Source: My Mom I love eggnog at any time of the year! This is a great recipe because I don't like eggs very much and you really don't even know that there's one in this drink! Plus, this is a great way to add some protein to my diet. You want to watch the temperature of the milk; if it's too hot and you let it sit for a minute in the blender before you blend, you might end up with a little bit of cooked egg in your drink. And let me tell you from experience, it?s really gross when that happens! My mom has chickens so I am using really fresh eggs and don't worry much about Salmonella. I read online at the American Egg Board (www.aeb.org) that the likelihood that an egg might contain Salmonella is extremely small ? 0.005% (five one-thousandths of one percent). I would suggest that if you are using store bought eggs, be sure to wash the outside of the egg before you crack and put in the blender. |
