1 cup  white all purpose flour
1 cup  cornmeal
0 1/4 cup  sugar
4 tsp  low sodium baking powder
0 3/4 tsp  salt
2 each  eggs
1 cup  whole milk
4 tbsp  vegetable oil
2 each  whole jalapeno pepper
  1. In large bowl, stir together dry ingredients. In a small bowl, beat together remaining ingredients. Stir dry and wet ingredients together to make a lumpy batter, do not overmix.
  2. Pour ingredients into a greased 8-inch square baking dish. Bake at 425 degrees F for 20 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
