2 lb  fresh asparagus
1 each  cooking spray
0 1/2 tsp  salt
0 1/4 tsp  white pepper
  1. Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
  2. Spread the asparagus on a large baking sheet and coat with fat-free cooking spray, shaking to coat completely.
  3. Roast until the asparagus is just tender, about 5 minutes, shaking the pan once or twice. Sprinkle with salt and then the pepper, shaking to distribute evenly.
