1 cup  white all purpose flour
1 tsp  ground cinnamon
0 3/4 tsp  low sodium baking powder
0 1/4 tsp  baking soda
0 1/4 tsp  salt
0 1/4 tsp  ground nutmeg
0.3333 cup  margarine
0 3/4 cup  packed dark brown sugar
1 each  Eggs, large, raw
1 tsp  vanilla extract
1 each  Apples, fresh, peeled, medium, 2 3/4"
0 3/4 cup  old fashioned rolled oats
0 1/2 cup  dried currants
1 each  cooking spray
1 tbsp  powdered sugar
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Spray a 9 x 9 inch baking dish with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. Mix together flour, cinnamon, baking powder and soda, salt, and nutmeg, set aside.
  3. Using an electric beater, beat margarine and brown sugar until fluffy. Beat in egg. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Mix in vanilla, apple, oats, and currants. Pour batter into prepared baking dish.
  4. Bake for 40 minutes or until set. Let cool fully. Dust with powdered sugar and cut into 16 bars.
