A simple gravy made from flour, oil, water, salt, and pepper.

Servings
Ingredients
1 tbsp vegetable oil
0.25 cup white all purpose flour
2.5 cup water
0.5 tsp salt
1 pinch black pepper


Directions
1 Pour all the fat out of a pan in which you have pan-fried steak, chicken, pork chops, or other meats.
2 Blot out remaining fat with a paper towel.
3 Add oil to the pan and bring to a frying temperature before adding flour.
4 Cook and stir until brown and smooth.
5 Add water and cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring frequently.
6 Mix in the salt and pepper before serving!
