Ingredients
1 lb extra lean ground beef (5% fat)
1 cooking spray
6 cup cold water
14.5 oz canned stewed tomatoes , undrained and crushed
1 yellow onion , cut into thin wedges
1 medium carrots , peeled and diced
4 tsp low sodium beef bouillon
1.5 tsp chili powder
0.75 tsp ground thyme
0.5 tsp oregano leaves
1 cup Corn, yellow, sweet, kernels, fresh (or frozen)
1 fresh green beans (1-inch pieces)
1.5 cup fresh red cabbage, chopped
3 oz Pasta, macaroni, enriched, dry (wagon wheels, approximately 1 cup)


Directions
1 Coat 5-quart stock pot with cooking spray. Sauté ground beef over medium heat until meat is no longer pink.
2 Add water, tomatoes, onion, carrot, bouillon granules, chili powder, thyme, and oregano and bring to boil over high heat.
3 Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 15 minutes.
4 Add corn and green beans and bring to boil.
5 Reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer 10 minutes.
6 Add cabbage and pasta and cook 10 minutes until the pasta is al dente.
