Ingredients
1.5 cup fat free milk
0.25 cup sugar
1 tbsp Cornstarch
1 tbsp cold water , cold
1 raw egg yolks
1 tbsp vanilla extract


Directions
1 In a medium saucepan over medium heat scald the milk and sugar. Use a measuring cup, and dissolve the cornstarch in the water, and add to the hot milk, stirring constantly.
2 Using a small bowl, pour some of the hot milk mixture into the egg yolk, stir, and transfer back to the saucepan.
3 Cook for 5 minutes, stirring constantly, or until mixture thickens slightly and comes to a boil. Remove from heat, and add vanilla. Let cool and refrigerate.
Additional Information
To scald milk and sugar, heat until it's almost boiling.
