4 oz uncooked elbow pasta (or shells)
1 cooking spray
0.5 lb ground turkey
0.25 cup fresh chopped onion
1 medium garlic cloves , minced
0.5 cup no-salt tomato sauce
0.5 tsp ground thyme
0.25 tsp ground cinnamon
0.25 tsp salt (optional)
1 pinch black pepper (to taste)
0.5 cup part skim shredded mozzarella


Directions
1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Cook the macaroni according to the directions on the package. Drain and rinse under cold water.
2 Spray a 8-inch baking pan with the non-stick cooking spray.
3 Cook the turkey, onion, and garlic in a non-stick skillet until the meat is browned. Drain the fat. Mix in the macaroni, tomato sauce, thyme, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
4 Transfer the mixture into the prepared baking pan and sprinkle the cheese on top. Bake for 30 minutes.
