Servings
Ingredients
4 smoked turkey sausage , turkey sausage patties
1 tbsp olive oil
1 large onion , sliced thinly
2 tsp minced garlic
3 cup fresh broccoli florets
0.5 cup white wine (dry)
1 pinch salt
1 pinch black pepper
1 cup fresh cherry tomatoes , halved
0.25 cup Cheese, parmesan, shredded

Directions
1 Cook sausage patties, over medium-high heat, in a large nonstick frying pan. Cook about 4 minutes on each side, making sure patties are browned and cooked through to the center. Remove patties from pan and lay on paper towels.
2 In same pan, combine oil, onion, and garlic. Sauté about 6 minutes or until onion is tender and just starting to brown. Mix in broccoli and cook another 2 or 3 minutes. Pour in wine and season with salt and pepper. Place lid on pan and simmer 4 to 6 minutes or until broccoli is fork tender. Stir often.
3 Place sausage in pan with broccoli and add tomatoes. Continue to cook about 1 minute or until warmed through. Remove from heat. Spoon Parmesan cheese over just before serving.
Additional Information
This makes a good breakfast dish, but is also perfect for lunch or dinner. Serve it over polenta or as a side dish to eggs.
