Servings
Ingredients
1 lb Mushrooms, fresh, large
2 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tsp peanut oil (or vegetable oil)
1 tsp sesame oil (dark)
1 medium garlic cloves , minced
0.5 tsp hot red pepper flakes (or crushed Szechuan peppercorns)

Directions
1 Place mushrooms in large plastic bag. Add remaining ingredients to bag. Close bag securely and shake to coat mushrooms with marinade.
2 Marinate at room temperature for 15 minutes or cover and refrigerate for up to 8 hours. (Mushrooms will absorb marinade.)
3 Thread mushrooms onto skewers. Grill or broil mushrooms 5 inches from heat for 10 minutes or until lightly browned, turning once.
Additional Information
For Szechuan-Grilled Mushrooms and Onions, add 4 green onions, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces and marinade. Alternately thread onto skewers with mushrooms. Proceed as directed above. Important Note: The marinade in this recipe is incorporated into the nutritional analysis. Since most of this is discarded, the Nutrition Facts are not exactly accurate.
