1 Put carrots in a medium saucepan and cover with water. 2 Cook, covered, 8 to 10 minutes or until tender. Drain well. 3 Put drained carrots back in the saucepan. Add cherries, maple syrup, butter, and spices. Stir to coat carrots with all ingredients. (It is not necessary to thaw cherries before combining with carrots). 4 Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until mixture is hot and bubbly.
