Ingredients

Directions
1 Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
2 Place milk into a 1 quart casserole dish, cover, and place into a large shallow baking pan.
3 Add 1/4 inch of hot water to the pan and bake milk until thick and caramel colored, about 1 hour. (Make sure to keep an eye on the water, do not let it run out; fill as needed). Remove from oven, uncover, and cool.
4 In a medium pot, bring apple, apple juice, and sugar to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer until apple is tender, about 2 minutes.
5 Add the caramelized milk to the apple mixture and mix well. Cook until heated, stirring constantly.
Additional Information
This sauce is great to drizzle over ice cream or fat free pound cake.
