Servings
Ingredients
8 oz Brussels Sprouts, fresh
8 oz Onion, pearl
1 tbsp margarine
3 tbsp sugar
1 pinch salt
1 pinch black pepper


Directions
1 Heat two pots of boiling water.
2 Cook Brussels sprouts and onions in two separate pots with lids on for 8 to 10 minutes. Strain well.
3 Melt margarine in frying pan; mix in the sugar and cook over medium heat until bubbly. Toss vegetables into sugar mixture. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
Additional Information
If Brussels are too large, slice in half for easier eating. Canned, fresh, or frozen pearl onions can be used.
