Directions
1 Combine the water, pepper and salt and mix together with the ground sirloin.
2 Shape the mixed sirloin into 12 small patties.
3 Pour 1 Tbsp of desired filling onto each of 6 of the patties. Then top those 6 patties with the remaining six, patties, making sure the edges are sealed.
4 Have the outdoor grill prepared: have an oil rack 4 inches above the coal and have gas set at a high heat.
5 If you want it rare cook for 5-6 minutes, for medium 7-9 minutes and for well done 10-12 minutes.
Additional Information
Other filling ideas: salsa, Parmesan cheese, teriyaki sauce, chili sauce, chopped jalapeno peppers, marinara sauce, fresh mushrooms, diced ham, roasted red peppers, crumbled feta or goat cheese. The possibilities are endless!
