Servings
Ingredients
20 oz canned garbanzo beans (chickpeas), unsalted
3 tbsp olive oil
0.5 tsp salt
0.5 tsp black pepper
0.75 tsp chili powder (to taste)
0.12 tsp ground red pepper (cayenne) (to taste)
1 medium limes , cut into wedges

Directions
1 Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Rinse chickpeas thoroughly under plenty of running water, then drain in a colander, shaking until fairly dry.
2 Take a large baking pan that will hold chickpeas in a single layer and combine chickpeas, olive oil, salt, and black pepper together in pan. Bake the mixture for 15 minutes or until the chickpeas begin to turn brown, then shake the pan twice so that the chickpeas brown evenly.
3 Take pan and remove from oven, then season the chickpea mixture to taste with chili powder and red pepper and bake for an additional 5 minutes or until the chickpeas turn a dark golden red. Serve with lime wedges.
