Ingredients
0.67 cup baked tortilla chips, crushed , finely crushed
2 tbsp margarine
2 cup low fat cream cheese (2 8-oz packages)
2 eggs
1 cup Cheese, cheddar, sharp, finely shredded , reduced-fat
1 cup Chili Peppers, green, diced , chopped
1 fresh green onions , one bunch or one bunch scallions
1 tsp minced garlic
1 cup Salsa, mild
1 cooking spray


Directions
1 Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9-inch pan with nonstick cooking spray. In a bowl, mix together the crushed tortilla chips and margarine and bake for 10 minutes. Set aside.
2 In a mixing bowl, mix together the cream cheese and eggs until creamy. Fold in the cheddar cheese, green chilies, green onions and garlic.
3 Carefully spread half the mixture over the crust, top with the salsa, and cover with the remaining cheese mixture; do not mix.
4 Bake for 30-40 minutes or until the mixture is set. Remove from the oven and let cool for another 10 minutes. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
Additional Information
For a new zesty taste, top the cheesecake with different flavored salsas, sour cream, and olives.
