Servings
Ingredients
1 lb top sirloin steak, lean , boneless, all visible fat discarded, cut into 4 servings
1 tsp ground thyme
0.5 tsp black pepper
1 olive oil cooking spray
8 oz fresh portobello mushroom , cut into 1-inch squares (about 4 cups)
1 Onion, red, fresh, large, whole , sliced
0.5 cup fat free unsalted beef broth
2 tbsp brandy (optional)
1 tbsp dijon mustard
1 tbsp Sauce, worcestershire, low sodium

Directions
1 Sprinkle both sides of the meat with the thyme and pepper.
2 Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Remove from the heat and lightly spray with olive oil spray.
3 Return the skillet to the heat and cook the meat for 4 to 6 minutes on each side or until desired. Then transfer the meat to a platter and cover it with aluminum foil to keep warm.
4 In the same skillet, while stirring occasionally, cook the mushrooms and onion over medium-high heat for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the onion is tender-crisp.
5 Mix in the broth, brandy (if desired), mustard, and the Worcestershire sauce. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, or until the mushrooms are tender and the liquid has reduced by half, stirring occasionally.
6 Spoon the mushroom mixture over the steaks.
