Directions
1 Heat a skillet over medium high heat. Cook the sausage until the middle is no longer pink. While stirring, break up the larger pieces. Once done cooking, set aside on a separate plate.
2 Put the pepper stir-fry, onion, celery, and thyme in the pan and cook for 3 minutes. Stir frequently.
3 Add in the water and bay leaves, bring to a boil, and then add in the rice and paprika. Reduce heat, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes.
4 Add in the chicken and cook for another 5 minutes. Take the skillet off of the heat and stir in the sausage and hot pepper sauce. Cover and let sit for 5 minutes. Remove bay leaves prior to serving.
Additional Information
You can use brown rice instead of white rice if desired.
