1 Using a fork, smash sardines in a bowl. Mix in onions, horseradish, dill weed, yogurt, and lemon juice. Wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 2 hours. When ready to serve, arrange on a serving platter with melba toast and carrots.

This also works great with anchovies, although they are a lot saltier. You may have to add more yogurt to mellow it out
