1 Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.
2 Spread the asparagus on a large baking sheet and coat with fat-free cooking spray, shaking to coat completely.
3 Roast until the asparagus is just tender, about 5 minutes, shaking the pan once or twice. Sprinkle with salt and then the pepper, shaking to distribute evenly.

Tastes great with 1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese too.
