Servings
Ingredients
4 Pears, fresh, small , peeled, halved, and cored (Bosc)
2 tbsp fresh lemon juice
1 cup white wine
1 tbsp Honey, dark
0.25 cup orange juice
2 tbsp grated orange peel , divided
0.5 tsp vanilla extract
0.5 tsp ground cinnamon
1 pinch ground cloves
0.25 cup Cranberries, dried , chopped (optional)
1.5 cup fresh blackberries , 6 ounces
1 cup tap water

Directions
1 Rub prepared pears with lemon juice to prevent browning.
2 In small saucepan, mix water, wine, honey, orange juice, 1 tablespoon orange zest, vanilla, cinnamon, and cloves.
3 Place over medium heat and bring to boil. Lower heat to simmer.
4 Add pears and cranberries, if desired. Cover and simmer for 20-35 minutes, until pears are tender.
5 Remove from heat and let cool.
6 Transfer pears with tongs to serving plates curved side down.
7 Return saucepan to burner. Bring liquid to boil. Continue cooking until sauce has reduced to syrup, about 10 minutes.
8 Add blackberries to syrup, reduce heat to simmer and cook 1 minute.
9 Gently remove blackberries with slotted spoon divided evenly into the hollow of each pear.
10 Drizzle syrup over each pear. Garnish with remaining orange zest.
