1 Using electric beaters, whip egg whites until foamy.
2 Beat in cream of tartar and salt to form soft peaks. 3 Gradually beat in sugar until stiff shiny peaks are made. 4 Save 2 tablespoons crushed candy and gently mix in the rest to the mixture. 5 Spoon rounded tablespoons of mixture onto foil covered baking sheets.
6 Scatter the rest of the candy on top of the cookies. 7 Bake at 300 degrees F 20 to 25 minutes or until cookies are golden. Let cool.
