Ingredients
1 large tomato , diced
1 scallions , white part plus 1 inch of green, chopped
1 tsp fresh lime juice
1 medium garlic cloves , minced
1 Chile Peppers, jalapeno, whole , minced
2 tbsp fresh cilantro
1 large whole wheat pitas , split in half horizontally
2 olive oil cooking spray
0.5 cup Cheese, cheddar, sharp, reduced fat, finely shredded
0.25 chopped green bell peppers , cut into strips
0.25 medium red bell peppers , cut into strips


Directions
1 Preheat the oven to 450 degrees F.
2 Mix together the tomato, scallion, lime juice, garlic, jalapeño, and cilantro in a bowl to make tomato salsa.
3 Spray the pitas with the cooking spray and set on a nonstick cookie sheet.
4 Sprinkle half of the cheese on top.
5 Divide the tomato salsa and bell peppers between the two pita halves.
6 Sprinkle the rest of the cheese over all.
7 Gently spray with cooking spray.
8 Bake for approximately 8 minutes.
Additional Information
To reduce the spiciness of the pizza, remove the seeds and white membranes from the jalapeño.
