1 Cook bell peppers, onion, and garlic in oil 2 to 3 minutes. 2 Pour in water, cover, and cook over medium to medium-high heat until peppers are wilted. 3 Remove cover and simmer over medium-low heat 20 minutes. 4 Mix in tomatoes and bring to a boil. 5 Lower heat and simmer 10 to 15 minutes. 6 Season with salt and pepper.
Additional Information
This sauce is perfect served over thick tubular pasta with thick, crusty bread to soak up the sauce.
